Job summary

Horizon3 is seeking a senior engineering leader to head the Client team responsible for containerized software deployed in customer environments. You will drive CI/CD workflows for the NodeZero runner, oversee shipping and updates, and partner with product, security research, and customer success teams to shape the client roadmap.

The role emphasizes building a strong engineering culture, hiring growth, and delivering robust, secure updates for diverse customer environments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading teams that design, build, and operate containerized software (Docker, VM images).
• Ability to partner with peer engineering and security research teams to ensure seamless execution of autonomous pentests.
• Experience implementing robust software supply chain practices for secure, reliable updates to distributed agents or runners.
• Proven ability to drive high-impact architecture decisions with design docs, reviews, and cross-team consensus.
• Experience building or growing an engineering team, including hiring and onboarding.
• Proven ability to define and instill engineering culture with rigorous code reviews and robust testing.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in opaque, customer-controlled environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for building and signing container images.
• Exposure to cybersecurity, pentesting tools, or vulnerability remediation.
• Experience with cross-platform agents (Windows/Linux) and endpoint telemetry

Responsibilities

Job description

• You will lead the Client team, which is responsible for the software shipped into customer environments to enable our offensive and defensive operations


• Manage CI/CD Workflows and Runner Updates: Lead the end-to-end workflows to create, update, and reliably deploy the NodeZero runner, a container image shipped to customers for running internal pentests


• Ship Software to Customer Environments: Spearhead the development of new shipped software aimed at helping customers proactively tune their defenses and seamlessly remediate vulnerabilities


• Team Building: Build, mentor, and grow a team of strong engineers who have deep experience shipping, operating, and maintaining software in diverse customer environments


• Act as a Product Owner: Collaborate with product managers, security researchers, and customer success teams to manage the roadmap of client-side initiatives
