Job summary

Riot Games, based in Los Angeles, seeks an Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead teams in Riot Discovery Studio. You will set technical direction, mentor engineers, and contribute to an unpublished R&D product.

You will be hands-on initially and responsible for architectural decisions and delivery across live environments. You will oversee multiple teams, partner with product and delivery, and guide external teams to build scalable backend systems while shaping the engineering vision

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• 3+ years in a leadership position, working directly on the production of a game as an Engineering Manager.
• Experience leading teams through feature development and delivering large code bases.

Responsibilities

• Define the engineering strategy and technical roadmap for global backend infrastructure.
• Manage and scale multiple engineering teams across pre-production, production and post-launch.
• Partner with product and delivery to define features and roadmaps.
