Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead AutoCloud initiatives across multiple teams and locations. You will oversee technical goals, drive end-to-end development, and partner with product to shape strategy, guiding engineers toward scalable, high-impact solutions.

You will mentor staff, manage budgets, and align projects with Google Cloud and enterprise AI initiatives, delivering robust systems and value for customers while advancing the company’s AI strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development.
• 5 years of experience in leadership, people management and hiring mentoring and retaining talent across global locations.
• 2 years of experience with Generative AI.
• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 5 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical goal and execution for AutoCloud Agentic Systems.
• Drive end-to-end development life-cycle of features from ideation to deployment.
• Develop technology strategy and phased plans with product to drive improvements.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders across Google Cloud and AutoCloud.
• Define and advocate for best practices in AI development and software engineering.

• Maternity Leave (Short-Term Disability + Baby Bonding): 28-30 weeks
• Baby Bonding Leave: 18 weeks
• Holidays: 13 paid days per year
