Job summary

Twitch is seeking a Sr. Engineering Manager for the Android Platform to lead the mobile team and shape the future of our Android experiences. You will drive strategy, partner with product management and the iOS teams, and deliver a world-class developer experience for builders and creators.

You'll guide a distributed team across locations, hiring and developing remote engineers, and champion a culture of innovation, performance, and collaboration to power Twitch's global mobile platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional mobile software development experience.
• 3+ years as an engineering manager or team lead.
• Experience shipping Android apps at scale.
• Experience hiring and developing remote engineers.
• Experience collaborating with product managers, designers and other engineering leaders in cross-functional groups.

Responsibilities

• Define strategic vision for the Android Platform team and collaborate with product management and the iOS Platform team to shape the mobile platform strategy.
• Architect a bold roadmap and deliver transformative software.
• Increase the rate of feature launches by providing a first-class developer experience.
• Drive improvements to software development processes, metrics, testing, and operational excellence.
• Define insightful KPIs to track team progress and customer impact.
• Communicate vision and ideas effectively across the organization.
• Foster a collaborative, innovative culture and resolve complex challenges.

You Have:

• 5+ years of professional mobile software development experience.


• 3+ years as an engineering manager or team lead.


• Experience shipping Android apps at scale.


• Experience hiring and developing remote engineers under your guidance.


• Experience collaborating with product managers, designers and other engineering leaders in cross-functional groups.

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related, technical discipline
