Snowflake seeks an AI-first leader as an Engineering Manager to shape development processes for AIM-V. You will guide a high-performance team across the runtime, tools, and deployment, driving AI-based software synthesis and efficient collaboration with product, solutions architects, and field engineers.

You will own the full lifecycle from ideation to release, leveraging SQL and database internals expertise.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale systems.
• 8+ years of experience managing expert engineering teams.
• Track record owning the full software development lifecycle from inception to release.
• Comprehensive background in SQL and/or other functional programming languages.
• Solid knowledge of database internals, with emphasis on query parsing, optimization, and execution.
• MS/PhD in Computer Science: databases, high-performance computing, or related fields.

As an Engineering Manager, you'll shape the development processes for one of Snowflake's most strategic new products.

AS A SENIOR ENGINEERING MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL

• Provide strong technical leadership across the entire product suite of AIM-V, including the runtime, tools and utilities, as well as deployment.
• Drive an AI-based development process across the entire platform, from requirements analysis to design, from development to validation and release.
• Collaborate with product managers, solution architects, and field engineering to empower our customers.
• Define and improve our engineering processes around AI-based software synthesis workflows.
• Solve real business needs at large scale by applying your software engineering and analytical problem solving skills.

OUR IDEAL SENIOR ENGINEERING MANAGER WILL HAVE

• 10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale systems and enterprise software.
• 8+ years of experience in managing expert engineering teams.
• Track record of owning the full software development lifecycle from inception to release.
• Comprehensive background in SQL and/or other functional programming languages.
• Solid knowledge of database internals, with emphasis on query parsing, query optimization, and query execution.
• MS/PhD in Computer Science: databases, high-performance computing, or related fields.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

• The estimated base salary range for this role is $264,000 - $379, 500.
• Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
