ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager - AI Developer Products to lead the development of distributed agentic systems and the frameworks powering AI-driven ServiceNow development. The role focuses on designing, building, and operating scalable agentic technology and setting the direction for our AI tooling.

The position requires 8+ years of software engineering experience with large-scale distributed systems, cloud-native platforms, and 3+ years of leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience building large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native platforms.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership experience managing high-performing software engineering teams.
• Extensive experience building NodeJS, TypeScript-based applications.
• Distributed systems experience, framework design experience, and infrastructure design experience.
• Infrastructure operational experience with Kubernetes (k8s) systems.
• Strong networking and systems design experience.
• Experience with Java and distributed systems architecture.
• Experience building and operating large-scale backend systems, runtime services, or infrastructure systems.
• Deep understanding of system design, scalability, performance optimization, concurrency, fault tolerance, and observability.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, caching technologies, and large-scale data processing.
• Experience operating services in cloud-native environments using modern DevOps and SRE practices.
• Proven ability to influence technical strategy and execute against complex organizational priorities.
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Role Overview

The Senior Engineering Manager - AI Developer Products will lead the development of distributed agentic systems and the frameworks that power AI-driven ServiceNow development. The team builds the next generation of AI tools that enable agentic ServiceNow development, designing, building, and operating distributed agentic systems, defining the agentic framework, creating evaluation frameworks, and scaling capacity to support all customers.
