AMETEK’s Sensors and Fluid Management Systems (SFMS) business is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a Product Engineering team in Wilmington, MA. The role has end‑to‑end responsibility for the Electric and Fluid Systems product lines, managing the full product lifecycle from concept through production and sustainment.
The Engineering Manager will drive innovation across new product development (NPD) and R&D initiatives while ensuring robust support of the installed product base through Sustaining Engineering and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) activities. This leader will be accountable for maintaining compliance with quality management system requirements, including product development processes, configuration control, and product reliability standards.
As a key member of the engineering leadership team, this role will focus on building organizational capability, leveraging emerging technologies, and advancing scalable, disciplined engineering processes. Reporting to the Vice President of Technology and Product Management, the Engineering Manager will balance team leadership with hands‑on technical oversight, leading multiple engineering programs and customer engagements.
The ideal candidate is a results‑driven engineering leader with a proven track record in designing electromechanical sensing technologies and managing diverse project portfolios, including new product development, advanced R&D, sustaining engineering (field and factory support), and strategic initiatives.
