Job summary

Kemps, part of Dairy Farmers of America, seeks a Sr. Manager of Engineering to lead the Minneapolis Milk Plant’s engineering and maintenance functions. You will manage a team, drive reliability and safety, and partner with plant leadership to optimize performance.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 8+ years in food manufacturing engineering/maintenance, and supervisory experience. Ammonia refrigeration and boiler licenses are preferred or must be obtained.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (strongly preferred).
• 8+ years in engineering/maintenance in food manufacturing.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience of maintenance personnel.
• Experience managing budgets and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering and maintenance to optimize productivity.
• Direct a team of maintenance supervisors and technicians.
• Maintain facility infrastructure and equipment in a 24/7 operation.
• Lead CAPEX projects and budget planning; prioritize improvements.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
