Job summary

Kemps, at the Minneapolis Milk Plant, seeks a Sr. Manager, Engineering to lead engineering and maintenance operations. You will direct a team of supervisors and technicians, shaping maintenance strategies, safety programs, and capital projects to improve reliability and production uptime.

You will collaborate with plant management to align with corporate standards, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance while advancing Continuous Improvement initiatives across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline preferred.
• 8+ years in engineering or maintenance in a food manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience of maintenance personnel.
• Experience managing budgets and capital projects.
• Ammonia/Refrigeration Level 2 certification required (or willing to obtain).
• Boiler 1B license required (or willing to obtain).
• Experience with CAD and/or other design tools.
• Electrical motor control up to 480V 3 phase; Allen Bradley preferred.
• Regulatory, safety, and environmental compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering and maintenance to optimize production efficiency.
• Lead a team of supervisors and technicians; manage budgets and capex.
• Maintain GMPs and safety standards across the facility.
• Develop CAPEX plans and coordinate vendor contracts.
• Implement predictive/preventive maintenance programs and MOS.
