FLSmidth in Salt Lake City, Utah is seeking an experienced Precious Metals Engineering Manager to lead the SummitPro Engineering team responsible for electrowinning, ADR plants, carbon regeneration kilns, and refining equipment.

You will drive technical strategy, governance, and capital project execution across process, mechanical, electrical, structural and automation disciplines, while collaborating with Service, Operations and Product Management.

Formación

• Degree in mechanical, chemical or metallurgical engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years in metallurgical/mining equipment design with at least 3 years supervisory experience.
• Experience supporting installed equipment in the field and willingness to travel to customer sites.
• Experience across capital and service/aftermarket organizations and understanding of spares, serviceability and retrofit potential.
• Knowledge of electrowinning, gold room fundamentals, ADR, elution and refining processes.
• Familiarity with modular plant design, P&IDs, PFDs, mass and energy balances, control philosophies and PLC/HMI automation.
• Professional Engineer registration; ability to deliver under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration across global teams, and leadership skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership to the SummitPro Engineering team through complex technical challenges.
• Set priorities and manage deadlines across new product development, product improvement, proposals and project execution.
• Own the engineering execution plan for capital projects; manage resources, schedule and budget.
• Translate SummitPro product line strategy into engineering plans; balance resources across continued development of products and equipment.
• Develop standards, templates and tools across disciplines while minimizing costs and risks.
• Lead interface with the Service Business Line ensuring alignment on design changes, spares and configurations.
• Provide technical governance for site support: escalation, root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Ensure safety cases for the product line are integrated into design, addressing cyanide, mercury and hydrogen risks via automation and containment.
• Travel to customer sites for critical issues, commissioning support and performance audits.
• Promote collaboration within engineering, SBL, Product Management, Operations and regional teams.
• Support proposal and execution teams with design reviews, HAZOPs and optimization of solutions.
• Provide technical support to leadership and sales for staffing, scheduling and risk management on capital projects.
• Manage resources to meet objectives and budgets; monitor performance and drive development.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
