Virginia Farm Bureau is seeking a Senior Manager Engineering Technical Lead to drive technical cohesion and engineering standards across delivery teams. You will influence cross-team practices, design reusable patterns, and guide API, data pipeline, and automation initiatives to ensure reliable, scalable platforms.

Qualifications

• 10 years of progressive engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership across multiple domains.
• Ability to influence across teams without formal authority, driving adoption of standards and shared patterns.
• Experience designing and delivering integration solutions using APIs and workflow orchestration.
• Ability to create reusable engineering assets, templates, libraries, and reference implementations to reduce delivery time.

Responsibilities

• Provide horizontal technical leadership across engineering teams, ensuring consistent practices, reusable patterns, and delivery autonomy.
• Define and socialize common engineering standards for APIs, integration patterns, orchestration, automation, and pipeline reliability.
• Partner with Architecture & Governance to align designs with enterprise standards and long-term direction.
• Mentor senior engineers and tech leads through design reviews, architecture workshops, and shared decision making.
