Job summary

Core Development Group LLC in Mahwah, NJ seeks a Director of Engineering to lead PV, BESS, and EV charging projects, overseeing design, due diligence, permitting, and third-party engineering, ensuring quality and on-budget delivery.

The role requires PE license and 7–10 years PV electrical experience, with proven leadership of multi-million-dollar utility-scale projects and strong stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Professional Electrical Engineer licensing (PE) required.
• 7-10 years PV electrical experience preferred.
• 5 years minimum construction/General Contracting and/or trade electrical background.
• NABCEP certification a plus.
• High proficiency with MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams), Procore.
• High proficiency with AutoCAD, PV Watts, PVSYST, Helioscope and other related software.
• Strong departmental and project Eng budgeting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage Eng department staff and deliverables under quality, cost, and time constraints.
• Coordinate with VP Project Management and Stakeholders.
• Deliver assets per contract on schedule and within budget.
• Review scopes of work and assist with permitting processes.
• Oversee all Eng design and third-party engineering work to meet codes and safety standards.
• Create a body of Eng vendors/partners for project breadth.
• QA/QC inspection reviews and vendor corrections.
• Train Stakeholders on new systems and procedures.
