You will develop high-quality Siemens NX models, resolve complex technical issues, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, CAE, assembly, suppliers, and program teams to deliver safe, efficient, manufacturable, and production‑ready vehicle structures. The successful candidate will serve as a subject‑matter expert for assigned parts or systems, provide technical leadership to other designers, and proactively drive solutions that improve quality, timing, mass, cost, and customer outcomes.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

Own the design and engineering development of body structure components and subsystems, including lower structures, RESS enclosures, weld, and dispense. Create, refine, and integrate parametric Siemens NX math models in accordance with GM design standards, Best Practices, Global infoBOOK requirements, and program timing. Lead design activities for sheet metal, castings, composites, reinforcements, welds, adhesives, and related structural components. Translate product requirements into robust design solutions while balancing structural performance, durability, mass, cost, manufacturability, assembly, and timing.
