Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in San Jose, CA, is seeking a Senior Engineer Verification to shape FPGA-based prototyping platforms and drive hardware verification efforts. You will architect and implement FPGA solutions, integrate with embedded software, and collaborate across internal teams to deliver robust, high-performance designs.

The role requires hands-on FPGA development with Verilog/SystemVerilog and VHDL, experience with Xilinx tools, and strong scripting for build automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electronic/computer engineering or related field.
• Strong FPGA development experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog and/or VHDL.
• Hands-on FPGA tool experience: Vivado, Synplify.
• Experience with verification and debugging: simulation, test benches, assertions, and on-chip debugging.
• Scripting/automation experience in Python and Tcl to improve build flows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain FPGA build (simulation, synthesis, P&R, timing closure, bitstream generation, regression).
• Integrate FPGA logic with embedded software, drivers, and host interfaces (Ethernet, USB, UART, SPI, I2C, etc.).
• Bring up FPGA platforms: board-level testing, power-on sequencing, clocking/reset strategy, and peripheral enablement.
• Perform system-level debug.
• Document platform architecture, integration guides, and best practices to enable internal users and downstream teams.

Key responsibilities

• Wage range that the company expects to pay for a qualified candidate: US$ 91,600-$ 126,000
• In addition, all employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
