Overview

Senior Engineer – Transportation/Highway role at BL Companies in Rhode Island. The selected candidate will be a licensed engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience, responsible for highway design project work in Rhode Island and potential projects in Massachusetts and/or Connecticut.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all technical aspects of highway and roadway design in accordance with AASHTO and RIDOT and municipal requirements.
• Act as a resource to other team members, staff to senior engineers and other disciplines.
• Attend client meetings and presentations.
• Contribute to the preparation of proposals.
• Maintain project quality and design standards for complex projects.

Required Experience

• Licensed Professional Engineer in Rhode Island
• 7+ years highway design experience
• Experience working with RIDOT and RI municipalities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• AutoCAD experience
