Job summary

Ardurra is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer (PE) to join our growing Transportation team in Wenatchee, WA. The role supports planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure for state DOTs, counties, municipalities, and local agencies.

The ideal candidate has strong roadway design experience and a proven background delivering highway and local roadway projects from planning through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington State required.
• Minimum of 5+ years of transportation engineering experience.
• Experience with roadway, highway and transportation infrastructure for DOT/public agencies.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and roadway design from plan through construction.
• Strong familiarity with AASHTO, MUTCD and state DOT standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support roadway and transportation design projects including highways and local roads.
• Prepare and review Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E).
• Develop roadway geometry, alignments, profiles, cross sections, and corridor models.
• Coordinate roadway drainage, utilities, and right-of-way considerations.
• Create construction documents and 3D roadway models; coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and QA/QC reviews.
• Support project delivery, scheduling, and client coordination.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.

Ardurra is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer (PE) to join our growing Transportation team in Wenatchee, WA .

This position will support the planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects for public sector clients including State DOTs, counties, municipalities, and local agencies.

The ideal candidate will have strong roadway design experience and a proven background delivering highway and /or local roadway projects from planning through construction. This role focuses on transportation design, roadway improvements, corridor projects, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support roadway and transportation design projects including highways, arterials, collectors, intersections, and local roadways
• Prepare and review Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E)
• Develop roadway geometry including alignments, profiles, cross sections, grading plans, and corridor models
• Coordinate roadway drainage integration and utility considerations
• Develop construction documents and 3D roadway models using transportation design software
• Coordinate with traffic, drainage, utility, geotechnical, environmental, and structural teams
• Ensure compliance with AASHTO, MUTCD, state DOT, and local agency standards
• May p erform QA/QC reviews of plans, calculations, and technical deliverables
• May s upport project delivery, scheduling efforts, and client coordination
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff
• Support construction activities including RFIs, submittal reviews, and field coordination

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington S tate required
• Minimum 5 + years of transportation engineering experience
• Experience with roadway, highway, and transportation infrastructure projects for DOT, municipal, and public agency clients
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience with roadway design including plan and profiles, cross sections, corridor modeling, and grading
• Strong understanding of AASHTO, MUTCD, and applicable state DOT standards
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading transportation design efforts and federally funded projects
• Familiarity with MicroStation, Bluebeam, Synchro, , and Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
• Experience with roadway drainage, utility coordination, and right of way considerations
• Design experience for WSDOT facilities
• Knowledge and understanding of ADA compliance and PROWAG requirements

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $175,000 .
