Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain core server infrastructure across Linux and Windows, and to drive automation and SDLC tooling in a fast-paced, service-delivery environment.

You will collaborate with developers, release engineers, and operations, participate in on-call rotations, mentor teammates, and pursue reliability, performance, and security improvements in a 24/7 production setting in Atlanta.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent systems engineering experience.
• 5+ years deploying and supporting Windows and Linux servers.
• 5+ years supporting server build and SDLC infrastructure.
• 2+ years scripting with PowerShell, Python, or similar.
• 1+ years using Tanium or similar endpoint management.
• 1+ years using Ansible or similar automation.
• Experience with build automation and configuration management.
• Experience with horizontal/vertical scaling for high availability.
• Top-tier analytics and problem solving.
• Communication with both technical and business resources.
• Fluent English speaking, reading, and writing.

The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining the core server infrastructure and tooling. This individual works as part of a results-oriented, service-delivery team and assists configuration analysts, release engineers, developers, and operations teams. A successful candidate will be able to perform root cause analysis of problems, select, develop, and implement new tools, and actively participate in deep technical discussions.

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering discipline or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering

• 5+ years of experience deploying and supporting Windows and Linux servers

• 5+ years of experience supporting server build and SDLC infrastructure

• 2+ years of experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell / Python / etc.

• 1+ years of experience with Tanium or similar endpoint management products

• 1+ years of experience with Ansible or similar automation platform

• Build automation and configuration management

• Horizontal and vertical scaling for performance and high availability

• Top-tier analytics and problem solving

• Ability to work in a service-oriented team environment

• Project Management, organization, and time management

• Customer focused, and dedicated to the best possible user experience

• Communicate effectively with both technical and business resources

• Fluent speaking, reading, and writing in English

Desired Knowledge and Experience

• 2+ years of experience with Citrix

• 1+ year of experience with Tanium
