Job Description

As a contributing member of the LOCA, Containment & Stability Analysis Team, you will perform safety analysis for plant thermal-hydraulic stability, plant noise, Power Range Neutron Monitor (PRNM) stability interface, and other analyses supporting reload applications for Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) plants, including currently operating BWR plants as well as new plants (BWRX, Natrium) operating or planned worldwide.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform plant thermal-hydraulic stability analyses, plant noise analyses, PRNM stability interface, and other safety analyses with expertise in two-phase thermal hydraulic analysis techniques.
  • Take responsibility for fuel project activities including reload analyses, stability methods implementation, new fuel design and introduction, and safety analysis support for emergent fuel issues.
  • Collaborate with mechanical design, core design, licensing, systems design, and other teams to find optimal solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, technical personnel, and customers on technical issues.
  • Document and present technical data to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Mentor staff in stability analysis and develop procedures for knowledge management.
  • Develop and deliver training courses for internal and external audiences.
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure work complies with regulatory requirements, customer standards, and quality assurance.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least 5 years of experience in plant T-H Stability Safety Analysis and Methods.
Additional Information

The role is primarily based at GEH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC, but remote candidates within the U.S. are considered. The position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information, contingent on obtaining necessary clearances.

The salary range is $112K - $150K, with eligibility for bonuses and other benefits. The application deadline is June 30, 2025.
