Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a hands-on technical engineer to build and own a scalable analytics and dashboard platform for private credit and specialty finance assets. You will partner with the Specialty Finance and technology teams to define requirements, build data pipelines, and deliver a web portal with centralized dashboards and self-serve analytics.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of full-stack engineering experience in specialty finance or adjacent buy-side settings.
• Advanced Python for data engineering and analytics.
• Strong SQL skills and analytics-ready data modeling with large data sets.
• Experience building dashboards or data apps with attention to UX for investment professionals.
• Project management: translate needs into shipped products and manage timelines.
• Clear communication with investors and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain dashboards tracking deal/asset performance and KPIs.
• Create a unified web portal where dashboards, reports, and self-serve analytics live.
• Liaise with third-party data providers to normalize and validate data.
• Support ad-hoc analysis for memos, portfolio reviews, and surveillance.
• Own project plans, milestones, dependencies, and stakeholder updates.
• Collaborate with tech to meet Specialty Finance requirements and standards.
• Translate stakeholder needs into technical specs and roadmaps.
• Identify high-impact AI opportunities.
