Job summary

Royal Caribbean Group is seeking a Senior Engineer, Site Reliability to join our on-site team in Miramar, Florida. You will design, build, and maintain infrastructure, automation, and systems supporting our software deployments and reliability.

You will lead CI/CD pipelines, manage Kubernetes-based workloads (OpenShift a plus), and drive DevSecOps practices across Engineering, Operations, QA, and Security teams. This role emphasizes mentorship and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of proven DevOps experience, with senior responsibilities.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on with GitHub, workflows, and repository management.
• Strong Terraform IaC expertise.
• Experience with GitHub Actions and Argo CD for CI/CD.
• Kubernetes (Cloud and On-prem) with OpenShift a plus.
• Familiarity with monitoring platforms like Splunk and AppDynamics.

The Royal Caribbean Group’s Information Technology Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Engineer, Site Reliability reporting to the Senior Manager, Site Reliability Engineering.

This position is onsite and based in Miramar, Florida.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dev Ops Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure, automation, and systems that support the development, deployment, and reliability of our software applications.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Automation: Design, build, and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or CloudFormation to streamline provisioning and configuration of cloud and on‑prem resources.
• CI/CD Engineering: Create, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and deployment tools such as Argo CD to automate build, test, security scanning, and release workflows.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Deploy, scale, and operate workloads on Kubernetes (Cloud and On‑prem). Experience with OpenShift is a strong plus.
• Observability & Monitoring: Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using Splunk, AppDynamics, and related tools to proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve issues.
• Security & Compliance: Apply DevSecOps best practices, ensure adherence to security standards, and implement automated security controls and compliance guardrails.
• Collaboration & Enablement: Work closely with Engineering, Operations, QA, and Security teams to streamline development workflows and promote DevOps best practices.
• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers to foster team growth.

Qualifications, Knowledge And Skills

• 6+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, including senior‑level responsibilities.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Hands‑on experience with GitHub for version control, branching strategies, workflows, and repository management.
• Strong proficiency in Terraform for IaC.
• Expertise with GitHub Actions and Argo CD for CI/CD.
• Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash, Python, and JavaScript.
• Deep experience working with Kubernetes (Cloud and On‑premises); OpenShift experience is a plus.
• Experience with Ansible for configuration management.
• Strong understanding of monitoring and logging platforms such as Splunk and AppDynamics.
• Familiarity with security best practices, DevSecOps principles, and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Generative AI experience is preferred (integrating AI workflows, automation, or AI‑driven tooling).
