Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a Reliability Hardware Engineer to join the Reliability Hardware & Systems Development team in Wilmington, MA.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering required; M.S. in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in hardware development, test engineering, reliability engineering, product engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Understanding of electronic circuit design, schematic capture, PCB development, and hardware debugging techniques.
  • Hands‑on laboratory experience with electronic test equipment.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively within cross‑functional teams.

  • Design, develop, and validate reliability stress hardware including Burn-In boards (BIBs), HAST boards, HTOL hardware, test fixtures, and related support systems.
  • Support the development and maintenance of hardware used for reliability qualification and engineering evaluation activities.
  • Collaborate with reliability engineers and product teams to understand project requirements and implement effective hardware solutions.
  • Support technicians during hardware validation, qualification execution, and failure analysis activities.
  • Troubleshoot board-level, system-level, and laboratory equipment issues to ensure successful execution of reliability testing.
  • Work closely with offshore hardware engineering resources to debug and resolve reliability hardware issues.
  • Interface with socket, PCB, and component suppliers to resolve technical challenges and improve hardware performance.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and support implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support ESD and latch-up hardware development activities as needed within the broader reliability hardware portfolio.
  • Identify opportunities to improve hardware quality, reliability, efficiency.

Role Summary

Analog Devices is seeking a Reliability Hardware Engineer to join the Reliability Hardware & Systems Development team in Wilmington, MA. This position supports the design, development, validation, and maintenance of reliability stress hardware and systems used to qualify semiconductor products. The successful candidate will work closely with reliability engineers, technicians, product teams, and senior hardware developers to deliver robust test solutions and support reliability qualification activities across a broad range of technologies and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and validate reliability stress hardware including Burn-In boards (BIBs), HAST boards, HTOL hardware, test fixtures, and related support systems.
  • Support the development and maintenance of hardware used for reliability qualification and engineering evaluation activities.
  • Collaborate with reliability engineers and product teams to understand project requirements and implement effective hardware solutions.
  • Support technicians during hardware validation, qualification execution, and failure analysis activities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; M.S. in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in hardware development, test engineering, reliability engineering, product engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Understanding of electronic circuit design, schematic capture, PCB development, and hardware debugging techniques.
  • Hands‑on laboratory experience with electronic test equipment.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively within cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with PCB design tools.
  • Experience with reliability stress methodologies including Burn‑In, HTOL, HAST, HTOB, or PTC.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor qualification processes and JEDEC reliability standards.
  • Experience with environmental chambers, power systems, and automated test environments.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with fixtures, sockets, and electromechanical assemblies.
  • Knowledge of ESD and latch‑up testing concepts.
  • Experience supporting semiconductor product qualification and New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.
