Job summary

Cboe Clear Europe is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to own testing across cash equities, derivatives and SFT services. You will take over ongoing work from contract staff and drive test strategy, execution, and reporting.

The role collaborates with Risk Ops and Risk Margin teams and requires hands-on testing, leadership across multiple projects, and strong communication. Key tools include Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Unix, Oracle and SQL.

Qualifications

• Experience testing risk systems.
• Lead multiple QA projects with hands-on testing.
• Experience on Linux servers.
• Understanding of Margining (VM/IM/Collateral) and market data from testing perspective.
• Demonstrable lead experience across several projects.
• Hands-on testing and test framework enhancement in Java/Cucumber/Gherkin.
• Schedule and run different testing phases.
• Prepare test plans for different programming phases.
• Collaborate with Risk teams to ensure coverage.
• Agile/DevOps experience is essential.
• Use Jira/Zephyr for test and defect management.
• Capture root causes for improvements.
• Provide daily status reports of testing progress.
• Produce End of Test Reports after programmes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Contribute hands-on testing when needed.
• Ensure quality before release.

The Delivery Assurance department within Cboe Clear is looking to enhance the team with permanent member of staff who can take testing and assurance activities forward with Cboe Clear. The Senior QA engineer is expected to work on multiple projects within cash equities, derivatives and SFT service, take over the work from existing contract staff and build further on what has been already in place. The role involves working closely with Risk Ops and Risk Margin teams.

Key responsibilities

• Previous experience of testing Risk systems
• Act as a SME for production support
• Experience of working directly on servers Linux
• Understanding of Margining (VM, IM, Collateral) and market data from testing perspective
• Previous demonstrable lead experience of working in multiple projects
• Hands on experience to enhance test framework built in java/cucumber/gherkin
• Schedule and run different testing phases
• Prepare a test plan for different phases within programming
• Liaise with Risk teams to ensure appropriate test coverage
• Produce test cases for each test phase within project
• Previous demonstrable agile / DevOps experience is a must
• Use Jira / Zephyr for test and defect management
• Ensure root cause of failure is appropriately captured for further improvements
• Daily status reporting on the test progress
• Produce End of Test Report at the end of the programme
• Strong communication skills are essential & should be a team player
• Should be able to conduct hands on testing
• Ensure high quality and accuracy is maintained through to software release
