Job summary

The City of Coronado is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the design and construction of capital improvement projects, supervise consultants and staff, and ensure adherence to professional engineering standards. You will manage complex projects across buildings, streets and water resources, reporting to the Principal Engineer, Assistant Director, and Director of Public Services & Engineering.

Ideal candidates have at least five years of professional engineering experience, a California PE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Professional Civil Engineer registration in California.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license.
• Minimum five years of progressive engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, oversee, and perform professional duties in support of design and construction projects.
• Serve as project manager for engineering projects including buildings, streets and utilities.
• Supervise consultants and provide oversight, mentoring, and accountability.
