Job summary

PowerLines in Honolulu, Hawaii seeks engineers at multiple levels (I–III) to perform professional engineering tasks using established methods. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering and may be placed on the eligible list for all levels for which they are qualified. Level I requires no prior engineering experience, Level II requires 1 year, Level III requires 2 years; drivers license may be needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in engineering.
  • Engineering experience: Level I none; Level II one year; Level III two years of progressively responsible professional engineering experience.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer I: perform routine professional engineering work following basic instructions and established practices.
  • Engineer II: perform specific and limited professional engineering assignments within a broad project.
  • Engineer III: handle moderately difficult professional engineering work in planning, design, construction, maintenance, operation, or evaluation of projects or facilities.
