Responsibilities

The Global Packaging and Serialization Program provides engineering and technical support for Lilly's worldwide commercial packaging operations, including asset delivery. Our mission involves a team of Lilly technical experts and external contractors to deliver assets focused on medical innovation and supply chain robustness.

Key Objectives/Deliverables
  1. Project Management: Lead large capital projects ($5MM to $100+MM), managing multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals from design to qualification, ensuring scope, capacity, cost, schedule, and compliance targets.
  2. Compliance: Manage projects in accordance with GFD, Global Packaging, and company policies using a disciplined project management approach.
  3. Safety/Environment: Develop safety and environmental plans, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures throughout project phases.
  4. Interface/Communication: Maintain effective communication with teams, governance, stakeholders, and partners based on project complexity.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 3+ years in project management, engineering, or related fields supporting packaging operations
  • Experience with packaging equipment, qualification/validation, product stability, and components
  • Experience managing capital projects in packaging facilities, especially projects >$5 million
  • Knowledge in automation, construction, quality, project controls, safety, and scheduling

  • Willingness to travel and relocate as needed

  • Travel up to 25%, domestic and international
  • Work in manufacturing environments with safety gear as needed
  • Primary location in Indianapolis, with consideration for other US Lilly sites

Compensation varies based on education, experience, skills, and location, with an estimated range of $64,500 - $167,200. Benefits include bonuses, 401(k), health insurance, flexible spending, life insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs. Lilly reserves the right to modify these programs as needed.
