Job summary

GlobalFoundries, Malta, NY, is seeking a qualified engineer to develop and modify process formulations, methods, and controls to meet quality standards. This role emphasizes creating and reviewing technical charts and establishing SOPs and FMEAs for related processes.

You will review product requirements, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety and EH&S compliance. 2+ years of relevant photolithography experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2 years post-baccalaureate experience in semiconductors and photolithography.
• Experience with photolithography, APC, and process control.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify process formulations, methods and controls to meet quality standards.
• Create, analyze and review technical charts.
• Establish SOP (Standard operating process) and FMEA for related process.
• Review product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules.
• Integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet process module and technology specifications.
• Drive CIP to improve process performance indices.
• Work with cross functions teams to deliver organizational goals.
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.

Develop and modify process formulations, methods and controls to meet quality standards. Establish SOP (Standard operating process) and FMEA (Failure mode and effects analysis) for related process. Review product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules. Integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet process module and technology specifications. Drive CIP (Continuous improvement plans) to improve process performance indices. Work with cross functions teams to deliver organizational goals. Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements. Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Education – Master’s degree in Electrical Engineer, Computer Science, a related field, or a foreign equivalent
• Experience – 2 years post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or any engineering related job titles. Applicants must have 2 years of experience in the following: (1) Photolithography including Recipe Management for photolithography; (2) Semiconductors; (3) Photoresist processing; (4) SiView; (5) Automatic Process Control (APC) for photolithography; (6) Structured problem-solving skills; (7) Statistical analysis of process improvement and shifts in existing processes and Statistical Process Control (SPC); (8) Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA); and (9) FEM analysis.
