Job summary

Hercules Offshore in Houston is seeking an experienced engineer to design FPSO Topsides as part of the Process team. The candidate will develop essential process documentation, participate in HSE workshops, and ensure quality deliverables.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering with at least 10 years of experience in FPSO and Oil & Gas projects. Strong communication and independent working skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the design of FPSO and Oil and Gas projects.
• Experience in FEED and Execution phases of the project.
• Experience in Yard support and FPSO start-up is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineering of the FPSO Topsides as part of the Process team.
• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, process data sheets, and other deliverables.
• Participate in HSE workshops like HAZID and HAZOP.

Skills

Familiarity with the relevant international standards

Job description

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the design and engineering of the FPSO Topsides as part of the Process team
• Responsible for the process interfaces with Hull and Turret
• Responsible for developing the PFDs, P&IDs, process data sheets, SAFE charts and other process deliverables
• Hands on experience with Hysys or similar process simulation tools, process calculations, utility balance calculations and familiarity with dynamic simulation
• Participating in the HSE workshops such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL assessment and similar
• Review of process deliverables submitted by the contractors and vendors
• Review of reports submitted by third party specialists for blowdown study, AIV/FIV and similar
• Work with the Process Lead and issue the assigned deliverables as per project schedule

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the design of FPSO and Oil and Gas projects
• Experience in FEED and Execution phases of the project
• Experience in Yard support, FPSO start-up and Operations support will be an added advantage

Skills
