As our new Structural Ports & Marine Engineer, you’ll be a vital part of the Ports, Marine & Coastal Team based in Western Australia who are changing the way we design and deliver maritime projects through deep technical expertise. Your crucial role entails translating client requirements into functioning assets, overseeing all stages of design with high analytical skill, and ensuring industry and regulatory compliance to meet our clients' future needs. Your role will include:

  • Leveraging mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills in your discipline to assist in project design and implementation.
  • Establishing design-related hypotheses for testing through data analysis and resolving design gaps.
  • Undertaking packages of design work with minimal supervision, showcasing your experience and technical mastery.
  • Producing and reviewing technical drawings, 3D models, and plans, as well as creating material requisition specifications.
  • Contributing to co-creating innovative solutions and bringing ideas to life by understanding and meeting our clients' future needs.
  • Adding value across the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility and concept design to detailed design, while ensuring adherence to regulations and industry best practices.
  • Working with the team to transform client and project specifications into operational assets, encompassing infrastructure critical to mining, renewable energy, Defence and trade sectors.

As well as experience in a Similar Structural Marine Engineering role. Specifically:

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, paired with experience in Maritime Engineering.
  • Proven ability to innovate and reimagine solutions, showcasing a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Experience in fostering collaboration in diverse teams to bring innovative solutions to fruition, valuing varied perspectives and skills.
  • A dedication to elevating team performance to meet or surpass client expectations, with a focus on exceptional service and securing repeat business.
  • Hands-on experience in ensuring project adherence to industry regulations and best practices, maintaining high standards of work.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake design work independently, delivering quality outcomes promptly and showcasing technical mastery.
  • Possess sound writing skills to communicate clearly and concisely with clients, effectively conveying necessary messages.
