Senior Engineer/PM - Traffic

Job Location: US-TX-Houston | US-TX-Dallas

Req Number: 2024-3322

Category: Experienced Roles

Responsibilities
  1. Work with a team of engineers and technicians designing and producing traffic engineering projects, including traffic impact studies, traffic operations studies, capacity analysis, traffic signal design, signal timing, signing, striping, lighting, and traffic control plans.
  2. Assist in analysis, design, and implementation of projects.
  3. Communicate effectively both in writing and orally.
  4. Utilize traffic analysis software such as Synchro, HCS, Arc GIS, VISSIM, and TransCad.
  5. Understand local agency rules and regulations, demonstrate technical expertise, provide excellent client service, and show proactivity.
  6. Participate in the in-house staff learning and development program, MOORELearning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering (transportation emphasis preferred).
  • Texas Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • PTOE certification preferred.
  • 6-8 years of industry experience.
  • Proficiency in traffic analysis software including Synchro, HCS, Arc GIS, VISSIM, and TransCad.
  • Knowledge of state and local rules, regulations, standards, and procedures is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
