Work Arrangement
This position is hybrid; you will work a mix of on-site and remote days, typically within the same week.
Responsibilities
- Development and assessment of models and correlations for prediction of two-phase flow and heat transfer phenomena.
- Use statistical techniques for performing realistic nuclear reactor safety analysis and contribute to development of analysis methodologies for design basis accidents.
- Evaluate impacts of plant modifications and operating changes on design analysis.
- Cognizance of plant specific licensing basis, Analysis of Record, 50.46 reporting.
- Point of contact for plant-specific LOCA specific inquiries from both internal and external customers.
- Mentor newer engineers.
- Identify and suggest process improvements.
- Participate on project teams, contribute to project schedule generation and cost estimates.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4+ years of applicable Nuclear Plant Safety Analysis experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical).
- Develop and deliver technical presentations to communicate a variety of issues: project status, problem resolution, engineering recommendations.
- Interest in software programming and code development, while not required, is considered a benefit.
Salary
Estimated base salary range: $85,200 – $106,500 per year (dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills).
