Job summary

Strata-G seeks an experienced Senior Engineer to oversee major capital construction projects, from planning through commissioning. You will assess technical risk, support RFI processes, and provide objective reviews to project management and stakeholders.

The role emphasizes design reviews, regulatory compliance, and ensuring Quality Assurance per nuclear-related standards. Onsite in Oak Ridge, TN with contract/full-time terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 10 years of engineering experience on large construction or capital projects >$10M.
• Minimum 5 years in nuclear/chemical or similarly regulated facilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication for briefing senior management.
• Self-motivated professional able to work independently in dynamic projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent engineering oversight across planning, design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Participate in design reviews and evaluate engineering solutions and design changes.
• Support RFI processes and deliver objective assessments of technical risk and execution.
• Monitor design reviews at 30%, 60%, and 90% and assess design quality and constructability.
• Oversee procurement, fabrication, construction, testing and commissioning activities for compliance.
