Job summary

RSI EnTech, LLC seeks an experienced engineer to support the Y-12 PMO in monitoring and assessing technical quality, progress, and execution of major capital construction projects. This role provides independent engineering oversight across planning, design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning, with emphasis on the Lithium Processing Facility project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 10 years of engineering experience on large construction or capital projects exceeding $10 million in value.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting nuclear, chemical, or similarly regulated industrial facilities.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, including the ability to brief senior management.
• Self-motivated, initiative-taking professional capable of working independently in a dynamic project environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate engineering analyses, designs, specifications, calculations, and design changes for technical adequacy and regulatory compliance.
• Analyze complex technical issues and evaluate alternative solutions for decision-making and risk mitigation.
• Serve as a technical resource in support of project planning, execution, and problem resolution.
• Monitor engineering and design activities throughout project development, including 30%, 60%, and 90% design reviews.
• Assess design products for quality, constructability, and compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Evaluate configuration management processes to ensure design integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities to verify compliance with design requirements.
• Support assessment of contractor engineering processes, technical performance, and project execution practices.
