Entegris, Inc. in California is seeking a Senior Engineer, Mechanical Engineering to lead development and optimization of gas purification systems. You will design components, perform simulations, build validations, and document results.

The role emphasizes collaboration across mechanical, electrical, and controls teams for full system integration. You will mentor engineers, drive sustainable innovations, and ensure robust performance while navigating industry standards.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 3–8 years of mechanical engineering experience depending on degree level
• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software and simulation tools (SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS)
• SolidWorks 3D CAD and 2D drawing experience
• DraftSight/AutoCAD 2D CAD experience a plus
• Python experience a plus
• JIRA experience a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Advises and mentors less experienced engineers
• Proactive mindset with a passion for innovation and sustainability

Job Title: Senior Engineer, Mechanical Engineering

Job Description: The Role: Entegris is currently seeking a talented and motivated Senior Engineer, Mechanical Engineering to join our team, focusing on the development and optimization of gas purification systems. This position is responsible for designing, documenting, analyzing, testing, and collaborating across functions to implement advanced technologies in gas purification systems. This position will report to the Manager, New Product Development Engineering.

What You’ll Do:

• Create and refine mechanical components and sub-systems.
• Work cross functionally to integrate mechanical systems with electrical and controls sub-systems.
• Conduct simulations and analysis to evaluate system performance and reliability.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including fellow mechanical engineers, controls engineers, and electrical engineers for full systems integration.
• Analyze and optimize purification processes to enhance efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and minimize environmental impact.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including engineering drawings, design specifications, and test reports.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in gas purification technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Any other duties as assigned.

What We Seek:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3-6 years of experience with a Master’s degree.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software, and simulation tools (e.g., SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS).
• SolidWorks 3D CAD and 2D drawing experience.
• Draftsight/AutoCAD 2D CAD experience a plus.
• PYTHON experience a plus.
• JIRA experience a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems and processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Advises and mentors less experienced engineers.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for innovation and sustainability.

• Compensation: $112,000-$119,000/yr range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
