Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a role at the boundary of research and engineering to design and run large experiments on agent teams, build scalable systems, and investigate surprising results. You will work across disciplines to turn vague questions into running experiments quickly and reliably.

As part of a small, high-impact team, you will own end-to-end projects, partner with researchers across Anthropic, and help push forward scalable, trustworthy AI research and development.

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering, ML or research engineering experience.
• Owned substantial end-to-end projects such as large systems, evaluations or benchmarks.
• Enjoys both research and engineering work and communicates clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, run and interpret large-scale experiments on agent teams.
• Investigate how performance and efficiency scale with team size and compute.
• Build and scale systems for very large agent teams and debug scale-related failures.
• Design evaluations for long-horizon problems and ensure trustworthy results.
• Develop tooling and metrics to observe what a large agent team is doing.
• Collaborate with research teams to run experiments on the platform and share findings.
