AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Engineer III to join our Henderson, NV team on water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The role emphasizes leading multidisciplinary teams, managing project scope, and maintaining high design quality.

A PE license and extensive PM experience are essential for success. The candidate will mentor engineers, coordinate with clients, and contribute to strategic growth in the Las Vegas region and wider Western US.

Qualifications

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Engineer III to join our team in Henderson, NV.

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Senior Process Mechanical Engineer/Senior Engineer III for our Water/Wastewater Infrastructure projects to manage and support our public utility clients in the Las Vegas region and across the wider Western US. This is an opportunity for a highly capable individual to join a team of dynamic, highly engaged professionals in the AtkinsRéalis Western Division. The position is located in the Henderson, Nevada area, and will allow for a hybrid work schedule. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills to lead engineers and other professionals on a variety of projects and tasks. This role will manage design tasks on large, inter disciplinary projects, and will involve acting as a project manager for local projects/studies. There are also opportunities to provide program management services to key clients.

This role is structured to leverage technical strengths while positioning for expanded client relationship management. General type of projects that will be worked on include:

• Pumping and booster stations, as well as lift stations.
• Reservoirs.
• Water supply and water/wastewater treatment systems.
• Multi-disciplinary design management.
• Bid and construction phase support.
• Master planning.

Your role

• Help shape, win, and deliver the next generation of water and water infrastructure projects across Las Vegas region and wider Western US.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with priority clients across the Las Vegas Region and communities.
• Maintain a hands-on role in project execution while leading multidisciplinary teams delivering water infrastructure projects.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of our One Water Market strategy, planning and delivery.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers in the development of design concepts.
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders. Coordinate with other disciplines.
• Plan and review the production of engineering investigations, models, planning work, reports, drawings and specifications.
• Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for new projects, weighing alternatives and selecting the most cost‑effective solution.
• Analyse technical problems, assess the feasibility of proposed techniques and procedures, and devise new approaches and alternative solutions.
• Analyse project dimension and scope and prepare or oversee the preparation of cost and manpower estimates, schedules and job budgets.
• Coordinate work with other project and task managers, guides others on drafting and design of preliminary and final plans, guides others on water infrastructure planning and engineering and preparation of studies/reports.
• Provide quality control and maintain quality standards, check work performed by others.
• Manage projects.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
• Upholding engineering ethics and professional standards of conduct.

About you

• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering. This level may be achieved by Engineers with minimum 11 years of experience since B.S.,10 years’ experience since M.S.
• Professional Engineer Licensure in NV, or in another state with reciprocity possible to in 6 month period.
• The typical incumbent has minimum 15 to 25 years’ experience since Bachelor’s degree, with at least three of these years in positions with project management or supervisory responsibilities.
• Good interpersonal skills, technical writing capabilities and well-developed communication and presentation skills are a requirement. PC skills including Microsoft Office are required. Experience with Autodesk design packages (e.g. Civil3D) a plus.
• Excellent Water and/or wastewater design skills and experience, and water treatment process knowledge a plus.

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $113,000 - $188,400 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
