Job summary

JRC is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer to support the Strategic Systems Program, Sea Launched Cruise Missile-Nuclear (SLCM-N) program. You will provide Systems Engineering (SE) support, MBSE implementation, risk management, and coordinate reviews and production tasks.

You will join a high performing team with DoD and DoE stakeholders, traveling up to ~50% to test ranges and facilities, while maintaining strict program deadlines and SE processes.

  • Active Secret DoD or DoE security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Systems Engineering support for SSP SLCM-N program, including SE management practices and reviews.
  • Oversee MBSE implementation, risk management, requirements management, and LCCB preparation/coordination.
  • Coordinate ship integration efforts, test and evaluation planning, and participation in SE community meetings.

The JRC team is looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Systems Engineer to provide Systems Engineering support to Strategic Systems Program, Sea Launched Cruise Missile-Nuclear (SLCM-N) program.

You will provide Systems Engineering (SE) support for the Strategic Systems Program, Sea Launched Cruise Missile-Nuclear (SLCM-N) program Assistant Program Manager. You will provide support in the execution of implementing SE management practices including holding requirements Technical Review Boards, planning and oversight of installations including subsystem testing and certification. You will provide technical rigor in support of SE processes, including planning, execution, and closure of System Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR), overseeing Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) implementation, Risk Management, Requirements Management, and assist with Local Configuration Control Boards (LCCB) preparation, coordination, and execution as necessary. Additional responsibilities include supporting planned and emergent production tasking, coordination and participation in SE community and programmatic meetings, plan and coordinate ship integration efforts for the product line, and support Test and Evaluation to Developmental Testing planning and execution. You will join a high performing team and be expected to develop a strong understanding of DoD, Department of the Navy, Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) instructions and processes (e.g., DoD 5000)

What You'll Do
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience providing engineering support in DoD environment including demonstrated experience with Systems Engineering
  • Active Secret DoD or DoE security clearance
  • Must be energetic, thoughtful, product-oriented, dependable, flexible, open-minded individual with an eagerness to learn with demonstrated strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, provide high quality services and products, while meeting strict deadlines and time constraints
  • Demonstrated forward thinking and proactive problem-solving skills
What You Bring to the Table
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM
  • Active DoD TOP SECRET security clearance
  • Experience leading SE working groups and independently managing stakeholders
  • Experience with Submarine force operations, the DoD Acquisition process or experience working in a program office environment with documentation, protocols, formats and deadlines
Additional Information:

This position requires regular interaction with senior DoW, FFRDC, and industry leadership. Travel (~ 50%) to test ranges, contractor facilities, weapons facilities, and government labs is required to support technical and programmatic reviews, integration events, and milestone readiness assessments.
