Merit Medical Systems is seeking a Senior Engineer I in South Jordan, UT on-site. The role involves design, manufacture, and operation of structures, machines, and systems, with potential ECN work and prototype creation.

Collaboration across teams is essential to advance projects in diverse disciplines. The position requires strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, plus experience with engineering standards in the US and internationally.

Qualifications

• Education/experience equivalent to a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field with 6 years' experience; Master's with 4 years; PhD with 2 years.
• Ability to independently apply analytical and scientific principles to problems.
• Demonstrated computer skills (spreadsheets, word processing, databases).
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to work well in a team.
• Working knowledge of US and international standards applicable to the department.

Responsibilities

• Make decisions on technical problems using advanced techniques and extending theories.
• Receive guidance on objectives and policy matters; escalate unusual problems.
• May supervise technicians and collaborate with other engineers.
• Work on special projects, write ECNs, and create prototypes.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Makes decisions on technical problems and methods which require the use of advanced techniques and the modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices of the field and related sciences and disciplines. 2. Receives supervision and guidance relating only to overall objectives, new concepts, and policy matters, while supervisor is consulted only concerning unusual problems and developments. 3. May supervise the work of technicians or others who assist in specific assignments and work jointly with other engineers. 4. Works on special projects, writes ECN's, and creates prototypes. 5.
