Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a Chemical and Slurry Systems Engineer to support the design, operation, and maintenance of facilities across its global manufacturing network. You will drive reliability and safety while enabling the technology roadmap and corporate standards.

The role involves leading technical evaluations, risk analysis, and collaboration with Facilities, Design, Construction, Procurement, and Manufacturing to align project scope and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in high-purity chemical systems (semiconductor or related).
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop safe, reliable designs for Chemical and Slurry systems and ensure compatibility of materials of construction with all chemicals used.
• Create, review, and maintain corporate equipment specifications, engineering standards, and design guidelines.
• Advise sites on system capacity, load projections, and scenario‑driven impacts.
• Provide technical feedback on infrastructure additions or modifications to support manufacturing and technology roadmap changes.
• Supply Micron standards to design partners and conduct timely reviews of design packages, construction documents, and engineering work.
• Support project cost and schedule development and validate scope alignment with collaborator requirements.
• Coordinate with Facilities, Design, Construction, Procurement, and Manufacturing to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
• Provide technical guidance during construction, resolving design issues and ensuring alignment to change‑management procedures.
• Serve as a global subject‑matter expert, supporting Operations, Maintenance, and Manufacturing with risk analysis, and system optimization.
• Lead technical evaluations, including FMEA, mitigation of single‑point‑of‑failure risks, benchmarking of BKMs, and ownership of corporate facility documentation.

As a Chemical and Slurry Systems Engineer within Micron's Global Facilities and Construction Team, you will deliver engineering expertise supporting the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of facilities systems across Micron's global manufacturing network.

You will participate in capacity and scenario planning, evaluate impact to facilities infrastructure, and serve as a technical domain expert throughout all project phases. Your work ensures environmental, safety, regulatory, and code compliance while driving system reliability and operational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with high‑purity chemical systems (semiconductor or related industry).
• Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks.
• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and facilities systems.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage complex workloads and multiple simultaneous projects.
• Strong organizational skills and customer‑focused approach.
• Excellent interpersonal and multi-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience and/or interest in developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes.

Salary

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full‑time position is:

$99,000.00 - $255,000.00 a year

Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job‑related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
