Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a Senior Engineer to provide technical leadership across Americas supply chain tech solutions. You will influence direction, drive engineering excellence, and deliver scalable systems that create long-term value.

You’ll work with Angular frontends and Java Spring Boot services on a modern enterprise cloud platform, applying AI across the lifecycle. You will mentor teams, lead 2-3 major capabilities in 12–18 months, and collaborate with business stakeholders to translate

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong fundamentals in architecture, APIs and integration, testing, security, observability, and maintainable code.
• Advanced hands-on proficiency in Java and Spring Boot and experience building enterprise applications with Angular.
• Experience building AI-enabled solutions in production, including RAG, evaluation, guardrails, and responsible AI practices.
• Experience using coding agents and AI-assisted development tools, including context management and validation of AI-generated output.
• Experience designing agentic workflows with task decomposition, tool integration, human-in-the-loop review, approval processes, and auditability.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, delivery, and production support of complex technology solutions across modern cloud-based platforms.
• Drive AI-enabled engineering practices, automation, CI/CD improvements, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems while evaluating technical tradeoffs across platforms and dependencies.
• Design and orchestrate agent-based workflows that integrate agents, skills, tools, and human oversight.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, architects, product partners, and business stakeholders to deliver shared outcomes.
