Job Summary

Senior engineer responsible for planning and conducting engineering activities using advanced techniques, theories, and practical field experience. Responsible for decision-making on engineering problems and leading teams of field employees, technicians, engineers, and other personnel.

Key Accountabilities

• Develops and directs complex projects or field engineering assignments.
• Performs engineering studies, proposes solutions, and develops models to support improvement programs.
• Interfaces with outside departments, vendors, and reliability entities.
• Prepares and presents engineering-related projects to management and external parties.
• Plans and manages workflow to meet budgets and schedules.
• Mentors and guides less experienced staff.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and at least 4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Experience supporting natural gas infrastructure construction per DOT Part 192.

Other Requirements

• Periodic travel throughout Michigan.
• Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Experience in Process Safety, Control Theory, Design, and Troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Natural Gas systems, electrical power systems, control systems, and industry codes.
