Job summary

Amgen in Rhode Island is seeking a Sr Engineer, Facilities & Utilities for ARI Engineering Projects. You will provide technical leadership and manage site infrastructure, utilities, and fire/life safety initiatives within a regulated biotech manufacturing environment.

You will coordinate with operations, EHSS, and external partners, drive safety and compliance, and influence cross-functional teams to balance regulatory requirements with project schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED with 10 years engineering experience
• Associate’s degree with 8 years engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree with 4 years engineering experience
• Master’s degree with 2 years engineering experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and support capital and infrastructure projects related to site utilities, facility modifications and civil/site development.
• Coordinate cross-functional project activities from concept through commissioning, qualification, startup and turnover.
• Provide design oversight for architectural, MEP, and civil engineering.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, fire/life safety, and environmental regulations.
• Serve as site interface with town officials, inspectors, and external firms.
• Drive risk assessments, constructability reviews, and project governance.
