Job Summary

Collaborate with global teams to evaluate the business, infrastructure and software requirements for the planning and delivery of the designed services. Incorporates the new technological trends in the initiatives and projects for the evolution of managed service architectures.

Responsibilities

  1. Architecture Development

    • Participates in designing next generation infrastructure.
    • Analyzes, selects, and performs proof of concept testing on components related to Managed Services infrastructure (switches/ server/ storage/ database/ backup/ appliances/ software technology from various vendors).
    • Has deep understanding of vendor community solutions and capabilities.
    • Develops configuration guides to be used by Infrastructure and Operational personnel.
  2. Testing & Validation

    • Develops test plans and strategies to ensure that architectural concepts and features work as anticipated and meet the requirements provided by Application owners and/or Infrastructure, including alternative approaches such as vendor conducted testing.
    • Provides input to test plans to be conducted by Application or Infrastructure owners to ensure end to end scenarios are evaluated.
  3. Vendor Management

    • Validates research and builds on information, translating the information into proposed Infrastructure solutions/services.
  4. Technology Project Planning and Execution

    • Understands 2 to 3 technology domains.
    • Manages the execution of medium technology projects.
    • Identifies and assigns technical tasks and issues.
    • Reports the progress of functional design, technical design, development tasks, test execution, and defect resolution.
  5. Technology Expertise

    • Intermediate+ level knowledge of IT infrastructure – Server, Network and Storage system.
    • Intermediate+ level VMware technology knowledge and skills. vSAN, NSX, Cloud Director, Aria suite, etc.
    • Networking knowledge (L2, L3, BGP).
    • Back-up technology (e.g. Commvault).
  6. Stakeholder Management and Communication

    • Builds relationships with project team members.
  7. Business Requirements Analysis

    • Partners with business stakeholders to analyze, define and document business requirements for defined-scope enhancements, typically pertaining to specific functional areas.
  8. R&D / Innovation

    • Investigates, analyzes, and evaluates new technologies.

Qualification

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience.
  • Japanese language skill at business level is mandatory.
  • English language skill at business level is preferred, but not mandatory.
