Job summary

OpenAI's Engineering Acceleration team designs and maintains foundational systems used to build ChatGPT and the API. You will own strategy, vision, and plans to increase developer productivity across OpenAI's platforms.

You will drive the design and implementation of tools and processes, work with product engineers to address workflows, and ensure the availability and observability of our systems. relocation assistance is provided for the San Francisco HQ.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience including building tooling for developers
• Experience driving tooling that increases engineering velocity and reduces toil
• Ability to collaborate across teams and translate needs into scalable solutions

Responsibilities

• Drive design, development, and implementation of tools that accelerate engineering velocity
• Use AI tools to rethink productivity and efficiency for the team
• Collaborate with product engineers to address workflows and needs
• Provide technical foundations for new features and research capabilities
• Advise product teams on observable, scalable systems
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability
