Job summary

State of Delaware is seeking an Engineer V to manage a small team of engineers within the Development Coordination Section. You will train, mentor, and supervise staff while ensuring subdivision and entrance plans comply with standards and provide excellent customer service.

You will work with local land-use agencies to maintain a predictable approval process, coordinate land-use proposals and issue plan approvals, contributing to efficient project delivery for developers and citizens.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Delaware Professional Engineering License OR PE license issued by another US state, DC, or Canada.

Responsibilities

• Drafts, develops and modifies engineering designs, plans and specifications.
• Reviews permit applications and designs for compliance with regulations.
• Plans and conducts field studies and data collection for project conformance.
• Provides technical guidance and training to staff.
