CarMax is seeking a data engineering professional to partner with PMs and architects to develop data integration solutions and meet functional requirements. The role focuses on ETL processes, data modeling, and MDM configuration using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SQL, Python, and Java.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in ETL, data analysis, and data reporting, with experience in modern data tooling and software development practices.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Operations (any), Management (any), Engineering (any), Analytics (any), Business (any), Language (any), Telecom, Math, Physics, Electrical/Electronics, or a related field of study.
• Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation with the required experience.
• Experience with MS SQL; T-SQL; PL/SQL; Java; Cloud; Oracle; JSON XML; Kafka; Software Development Project Management; V-Model; Waterfall; Agile-Scrum Methodologies; ETL, Data Analysis, Data Mining and Data Reporting; FACETS; JIRA; Microsoft Project; Confluence; Bitbucket; Reporting KPIs and other metrics to stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with Product Managers, Technology Managers, and Architect to understand business requirements and target architecture, and to develop and meet functional requirements.
• Develop ETL and data integration processes using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SQL, Python and Java.
• Analyze and troubleshoot data integrations to identify and resolve missing or incorrect or inconsistent data due to ETL issues.
• Assist the team in performing data analysis required for ingestion or syndication of new data sources including testing and validation.
• Assist the team in knowing, defining and adhering to best practices for version control (branding, merging, etc.), promotion methodology (DevOps, Data Ops), and incorporating reliability engineering.
• Assist the team with data modeling and configuration of the MDM platform.

Must also have demonstrated experience with the following: MS SQL; T-SQL; PL/SQL Developer; Java; Cloud; Oracle; JSON XML; Kafka; Software Development Project Management; V-Model; Waterfall; Agile-Scrum Methodologies; ETL, Data Analysis, Data Mining and Data Reporting; FACETS; JIRA; Microsoft Project; Confluence; Bitbucket; and Reporting KPIs and other key information (metrics, defects, project progress) to stakeholders.

The annual salary for this position is:

$110,800.00 - $166,200.00

May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Benefits:

Except as otherwise required by state law, CarMax Associates are entitled to the following paid sick, vacation, and holiday time.

Associates that are considered full-time hourly or commission/incentive eligible:

• To earn up to 48 hours of sick time per year accrued on a per pay period basis and between 80 hours and 200 hours per year of vacation time after a 90 day waiting period depending on years of continuous service with the Company.
• For 8 hours of pay for each of a total of 6 paid scheduled holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday. If such an Associate does work on a scheduled holiday due to business need, they are eligible for Holiday Premium Pay.

Associates considered full-time salaried are entitled to paid time away with no specified limit as needed for sick, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, floating holiday, etc. subject to manager approval.
