This role will be based in Mountain View, CA.
We are looking for a Senior Engineer - Commodity / Vendor Management to support sourcing, supplier management, cost optimization, and supply assurance for LinkedIn’s global datacenter hardware portfolio. This role will work across server and storage commodities including CPU, GPU, DRAM, NAND, NVMe/SSD, HDD, and other critical server components.
In this role, you will partner with senior commodity leaders and cross-functional teams to execute commodity and sourcing strategies while developing ownership of assigned commodities and supplier relationships. You will work closely with Hardware Engineering, Supply Planning, Capacity Planning, Finance, OxMs, and component suppliers to ensure hardware is available at the right cost, quality, and time to support LinkedIn’s infrastructure growth.
The ideal candidate combines strong operational execution and analytical skills with the ability to work effectively in a small, cross-functional team. They should be comfortable independently driving established operational responsibilities and supplier engagements, while partnering with Staff and Senior Staff leaders on broader commodity strategy, complex negotiations, and ambiguous or high-impact decisions.

The pay range for this role is $109,000 to $180,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
