Job summary

Alpha Omega is hiring a Senior Engineer who will act as the lead technical authority for all Power Platform development (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot Studio) supporting the U.S. Coast Guard Accessions Service Center.

You will shape enterprise architecture design, governance, quality, and protection strategies, collaborating with leadership and stakeholders to boost data asset value and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher degree with substantial relevant experience.
  • Minimum years of experience with government or DHS/DHS-related programs preferred.
  • Active security clearance or ability to obtain DHS Public Trust (HSPD-12 Tier 2) required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as lead technical authority for Power Platform development for the program.
  • Own end-to-end solution architecture from requirements through deployment.
  • Establish and enforce governance frameworks and development best practices.
  • Ensure alignment with security, scalability, and business-transition requirements.
  • Provide direction to engineers and coordinate with Coast Guard stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the lead technical authority for all Power Platform development across the program
  • Own end-to-end solution architecture, from requirements definition through deployment
  • Establish and enforce Power Platform governance frameworks and development best practices
  • Ensure solutions align with security, scalability, and business-transition requirements
  • Provide technical direction to journeyman and junior engineers and coordinate with program leadership and Coast Guard stakeholders
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Art/Bachelor of Science degree plus ten (10) years of relevant experience OR Master of Art/Master of Science degree plus five (5) years of relevant experience OR an expert-level technical certification (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect Expert) plus eight (8) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • A minimum of three (3) years directly supporting government agencies in the design and deployment of enterprise-scale solutions; USCG or DHS preferred
  • U.S. citizenship, and an active DHS Public Trust (HSPD-12 Tier 2) OR the ability to obtain one; must have resided in the United States for three of the last five years
Experience/Skills
  • Experience with end-to-end solution architecture; governance frameworks and best practices
  • Experience with security, scalability, and business-transition alignment
  • Experience with the following: solution architecture, enterprise app development, technical leadership, systems integration
Certification(s)
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600)
Salary And Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $140,000 - $200,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
