Job summary

Cast Iron Media, LLC is a premier sports and entertainment media solutions company providing connected TV and streaming advertising platforms. We are seeking a Senior Engineer to own complex technical challenges, lead initiatives across back-end and front-end systems, and shape product development culture.

You will build features to monetize live sports and ensure performance, reliability, and security. Based in the New York Metropolitan area, this full-time hybrid role reports to the Chief

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• ,
• Experience with modern front-end framework (VueJS).
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience deploying applications in cloud platforms (AWS).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with mission-critical and large-scale systems.
• Exposure to advertising technologies (DSPs, SSPs, Ad Servers, RTB, VAST/VPAID).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with caching systems (Redis, Memcached).
• Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or DataDog).

• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and turn them into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop both front-end and back-end features with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.
• Write and generate clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
• Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments (AWS and Cloudflare).
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
• Help troubleshoot performance and operational issues.
• Implement application-level security best practices.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and data protection requirements.

Cast Iron's Connected TV platform, SportStream Live™, offers a collection of live games running on popular on-demand services, and includes MLB, NBA, NHL, and NCAA. CrowdConnect Live™ provides national branding and experiential marketing programs across all live sports and entertainment.

The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Engineer to drive the growth and evolution of our digital advertising platforms. You will take ownership of complex technical challenges, lead key initiatives across back-end and front-end systems, and guide architectural decisions. Key Responsibilities:

Application Development:

• Build features and functionality that help digital advertising clients and partners to monetize live sports in streaming environments.

• Design and optimize relational database schemas.
• Build efficient APIs and integrations with third-party services.
• Ensure data integrity, scalability, and high availability across systems.

Qualifications:

• Strong sense of ownership and desire to solve business challenges with software.
• Ability to take a feature from client discovery through adoption.
• Experience working in AI-assisted development environments.
• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer or in a similar role.

This is a hybrid, full-time position reporting to the Chief Product Officer. Candidates must be based in the New York Metropolitan area.

• 200K- 225K. This position is also eligible for performance based bonuses.

Title and total compensation packages are determined based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, skill set, qualifications, education and market considerations. In addition to compensation, this role offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, retirement savings, and unlimited paid time off.
