Rushdown Studios is seeking a Senior Engine Programmer to design, develop, and maintain core game engine systems in C++. The role involves collaborating with our partner studio, optimizing runtime performance, and solving crashes across PC and console platforms.

We value self-motivation, teamwork, and clear ownership of tasks. Hybrid work options (Tue-Thu in-office) or fully remote within the Eastern U.S. are supported.

Formación

• Four+ years of professional experience with C++, including industry experience building and maintaining proprietary game engine technology.
• Experience developing and shipping commercial games.
• Strong understanding of mathematics, analytics, and computer science fundamentals.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain core game engine systems using modern C++.
• Write clean and intuitive code that is understandable by external developers and extendable in the future.
• Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve workflows, engine capabilities, and runtime performance.
• Collaborate with external programmers to enable features to run efficiently.
• Solve crashes, performance bottlenecks, and other problems on PC and console.
