Qualifications

• Strong professional C++ experience.
• 7+ years on game engines or real-time systems.
• Experience modifying engine source code.
• Experience shipping real-time software or games.
• Strong debugging and profiling skills.
• Solid understanding of memory, CPU, threading, and data layouts.
• Experience solving cross-platform issues.
• Ability to reason about architecture and lead technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Work across engine architecture, runtime systems, memory management, multithreading, asset loading and streaming, and build systems.
• Modify and extend forked Godot engine source to meet product needs.
• Identify and resolve architectural and performance issues at the engine level.
• Build reusable engine systems and tooling to improve productivity.
• Address cross-platform compatibility across web, desktop, Chromebooks, iPads, and mobile.
• Profile and optimize for CPU, memory, and runtime performance.
• Navigate and improve a large, evolving codebase.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering practices.
• Experiment with AI-assisted development tools to improve workflows.
